The journey through the body of the great beast, we are parasites in its body. The trucks and trains its blood cells, the roads its arteries. We see the beast around us, it consumes us completely.

NSA Illegally Spying on Americans By Bush's Executive Order
Bush Lets U.S. Spy on Callers Without Courts
TO:
Congresswoman Pelosi
450 Golden Gate Ave. - 14th Floor - San Francisco, CA 94102
Dear Congresswoman Pelosi,
By now you have probably seen the the NYT article on how Bush made an executive order to illegally spy on Americans.
Here is Bush's response:
"In the weeks following the terrorist attacks on our nation, I authorized the National Security Agency, consistent with U.S. law and the Constitution, to intercept the international communications of people with known links to al Qaeda and related terrorist organizations,"
It seems to me, from my humble perspective, that this is incorrect, that these actions are illegal. It seems to me that the fourth amendment protects us from unreasonable search and seizure, electronic or physical. This is a precedent that has been upheld previously, as the the NYT article discusses:
"Some officials familiar with it say they consider warrantless eavesdropping inside the United States to be unlawful and possibly unconstitutional, amounting to an improper search."
Secondly, it is not clear that every one of the 500 or more Americans being spied on do have direct links to al Qaeda, and by who's judgment? Clearly not the judicial system we have establishes specifically for this purpose.
This man, George Walker Bush, is unamerican and clearly has no reservations about committing criminal acts. His principals are so far removed from core American values, that we should demand action. How could the man in the highest office legitimize the criminal and unconstitutional act of spying on fellow Americans without due process? How our founders Jefferson and Franklin would judge this man who disrespects the freedom and civil rights that or core to our American heritage. His entire organization lacks the integrity, foresight, responsibility and love of freedom that the previous generation represented and died to protect in WWII.
Please, I implore you to investigate the legality of these actions in a public forum, and if it is determined that there may be criminal actions, then establish an independent prosecutor to bring those who committed crimes against American liberty to justice.
Your constitute,
Clay Graham

I remember your lies.
Well it blows me away, the level these guys will stoop to. They must really hate Americans, or look down at them because they seem to think people will buy this stuff. Well I remember Mr. Cheney, and no matter how often you try to say that I am remembering wrong I still know what I remember.
1. I remember *you* telling me they had WMD
2. I remember *you* telling me the Iraqis would greet us with flowers.
3. I remember *you* betraying the trust of servents in your own government by leaking secret information to the press for political vendettas.
4. I remember *you* lobbying to congress to allow torture in secret CIA prisons.
I rememeber, and I beleieve the American public will too.

Glad she's home
She did so much to make sure everything was ok with the house while I was in san Francisco that I want to do something special for her to show her how much I appreciate her.
it really is a blessing to have someone like her in my life. I am sure without a doubt that she is the best thing that ever happened to me.
I love you Stephanie and I am so glad you are coming home. I promise to do everything I can to make your new life as wonderful as you have made mine.

The wedding parable
When I though about it more, and maybe this is some projection going on, I think about it more passively. Parables are codes so maybe it is a code for a group of constructs that are all internal anyway.
Life has a calling and opportunities, commonly we overlook those opportunities because we are focused on ourselves. That's what makes us selfish.
If you are wise enough to recognize opportunities to become part of the human family and contribute to its positive aspects you can avoid a fate of being bound and gnashing of teeth.
the gnashing of teeth part really touches me for some reason because I can see in my minds eye someone alone in the dark, bound in the restraints of their own limitations, grinding there teeth alone and afraid of what they had done or left undone.

maybe i should be scared of the dreams
One dream I know was about a new home and another was about making friends with someone I work with. So it seems that at least something is playing out in my head.
One of the dreams was pretty intense and I am actually kind of suprised that as I experienced the dream i didnt feel any fear.

Really, hypocrisy and Cynicism and Schitzophrenia
I am going to just hang back at my new job, what schitzofrenia it was today. They don't trust me yet so I guess I am going to just have to wait until they want my help to say anything.

Cronyism
I think what he should have done is go to the senate judiciary committee and get their input and preferably some buy in.
I have an image in my brain of him eating corn flakes in the morning with his wife. Her saying "darln why don't you hire a woman" and his reply, "heh heh, what about ol no mess Myers".
It must be nice to be from Texas and a friend of the bushies.
It looks like they accepted our last offer, I am a little miffed because I feel like they basically extorted more from us but ultimately I am happy with the outcome. The place is awesome and I really look forward to making it my home and raising a family there.
So let's hope this was all worth it.

Hypocrisy
I am going to San Diego this weekend, I really miss Stephanie and I am glad I am going to get to hang out with her. Not drinking is a little weird though, we are going to the red fox room and I usually get bombed there, change is always interesting.
It hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be to stop though, I miss it some but it is totally doable. It is just going to be different in social situations.
Not drinking has made me feel more in control of myself though, if anything that may be the best benefit. I think that's why people get tattoos or become vegans sometimes. Making the change may have some health benefits but I think more importantly it means that you are controlling your body.
I don't think I will stop drinking for ever but I do think I will stop for at least this month. Let's see.

Moving Back To Bay Area
Well here we go. We are going back to the Bay Area. I really hated my job in San Diego, and Stephanie and I have always talked about being closer to her sister, so we decided to move back.
We found a great house in the Montcair area, and we really beleive this will be our dream home.
I really like my new job, they seem to be very smart there.

kindof missing something
that is a lame analysis, but kindof missing something is exactly right. I
guess I have been working really hard on the weekends, phyiscally. Maybe
that has created some weird chemical thing. I sould be rocking because its
spring, and I am usually pretty jazzed in spring. Not the case.
I have *absolutely* no reason to feel this way, my life is perfect.
So I have been making art on the side, along with the million things I have
to do. I don't know if its helping, but I odddly feel compelled. The last
thing I did was a puppet movie with a character who is a kind of luddite.

just now in the lazyboy
well it id pretty amazing, after having a wireless hub for about two
years I am finally sitting in my lazy boy typing up an entry into my
blog. i think i will hae a hard time getting used to typing in this way,
it is a little hard. stephanie seems to like it though she was looking
into a recipe while watching the food network, that was something never
did before.
I made a deal with a freind to paint a painting and exchange it with him
within the next month. We already agreed on the basic size and attributes
of the painting, I will be painting a cuttlefish or a squid.
lets see what comes of it.

the cafe
carved out space, selling expresso and flavored coffee drinks, watching
her. She gave him hope that this was not the entirety of his destiny.
Watching her sip her mocha, sweet chocolate touching her rid lips. but her
affection were contested. rod was a nice guy from the college, studying
communications, he sold futons from his apartment and sometimes
contemplated suicide.
When Rod asked for coffee he would order it black so he could see if Sam
spit in it, or worse. They had a clear rivalry, and everyone knew it.
People would sit outside the cafe for hours and talk and laugh about the
two of them and what nonsense they had done to each other lately. Most of
all she knew it.
Becka was one of those girls who wore here smarts, and I mean smarts like
hurts, as fasion. He wit, and cutting nature was a clear indication that
she had a strong sense of self worth. The compitition between Sam and Rod
meerly reinforced that she was wanted.

dj spooky, that subliminal kid
really love this guy, he is doing one thing that I wish more noise people
would do, bring in the beats. Ya know public enemy had the right idea when
they said "bring the noise" to rap, now I think nois bands should do the
oipposite and "bring the beats".

strange interview
person that once interviewed me and passed on hiring me, was sitting across
the table from me getting interviewed for a position.
Now this guy was a founder of the company I interviewed at, basically he
was the CTO, and I would have been working for him, so this had to be a
major step down for him in both pay and status because he was being
interviewed for a basic developer position.
The funny thing is that when I asked the recruiter why he didn't want to
hire me the response was, "He believed that you would have conflicts with
his approach and style.", so this was interesting because as soon as I
figured out who this guy was, which ws in the middle of the interview, I
had to ask him directly what made him think we still wouldn't have
conflicts.
There is cosmic justice I would say, this renews my faith in that.
I hope he isn't hired, I had a feeling he was right in the first place.

back to normal life
like to work but because I am worried that its going to be a clusterfuck.
hopefully I am wrong.
I had a dream about being in the military, it was some sort of thing I
thought would be good for me to teach me the things I never learned like
obeying authority or maybe physical stuff like marching. Like I had missed
out on some kind of learning experience. In the dream I quit it though,
chalking it up as a bad idea that clearly didn't match up with my value
system.
That's kindof the way I think of it waking too. I like to learn about the
military, even historical stuff, but I think the lifestyle just doesn't
match up with my value system.

skimpermods
generate electricty because we have used up all the other forms like gas
and coal.
The idea is about a simple woman named Candy who has a dream to go to a
place that has more light. In the world of Skin everyone has genetic skin
problems they call dermaforms, and hers makes her need to use light lamps
so she can generate B2.
Anyway she has a stupid boyfriend "Vince", who likes to were trendy suites
powered by his generator bike, called a "skimper".
I will make it available when its done.
